THEATRE SCHOOL
AGE 5 -16
Occasional Dance Theatre School provides education and training to children and teenagers in all aspects of performing arts for fun and also to further interest.
Splitting children into age groups and abilities, rotating lessons covering all aspects of the performing arts world within their weekly session.
Training takes place in a relaxed, creative, fun friendly environment.
During the Session every student participates in;
DANCE
Dance Classes are high energy with combinations and dances to various styles of music.
Introducing a mix of Jazz, Funky Jazz, Street Dance, Musical Theatre, tap and Ballet style routines.
During the dance class we aim to develop style, technique, performance skills, stage presence and general good high energy fun.
DRAMA
Drama Classes are based on improvisation and script work.
The lessons develop acting skills through creating characters, scenes and turning this into a piece of script.
Drama is an excellent outlet for a child's imagination and our drama classes boost self esteem and encourage teamwork.
During the Drama classes we aim to develop imagination, confidence, communication, articulation, stage presence.
SINGING
Singing Classes develop the students repertoire covering popular music along with musical theatre.
Gaining technique, vocal range, confidence to sing as a group as well as solo. Introducing harmonies and various different breathing techniques.
Students will work towards shows, where they can showcase their talents in performances with lights, microphones, costumes and an audience for support.
